How to Set Up Your Bullfrog Spa for the First Time

Follow these steps in order. Skipping ahead can affect water quality and cartridge performance.

1

Fill the spa, purge air from the pumps, and turn on the breaker.

2

Wait for spa water to reach at least 80°F before adding any chemicals.

Adding chemicals to cold water reduces their effectiveness and can cause water imbalance from the start.
3

Add one Jump Start packet to the spa water.

4

Locate the cartridge holder behind the JetPak to the right of the spa's controls. Remove the holder by lifting forward and up.

If your spa does not have a cartridge holder and you are using a floating system, skip this step.

Fully open the dial to #6 on the BLUE mineral cartridge and click it into place.
